Flags




The National (Civil) Flag
Ratio 2:3. On a bright yellow field, four stylized red arrows (each being one fourth the width of the hoist) extends from the four edges, almost meeting at the centre. A red five-pointed star in the canton. Yellow symbolizes the lifegiving sun, while red is the blood of all living beings. The arrows represent the four major parts of the global ecosystem coming together; producers, consumers, decomposers, and abiotic components. The star is in memory of the revolution in which the Republic was born.






The State (Government) Flag
Ratio 2:3. On a red field, a stylized Coat of Arms in the canton. The State flag is flown from Government buildings and property, including the Parliament and the Presidental Manor. Embassies fly the national flag and the state flag side by side, on two equal flagpoles






The Flag of Mourning
Design as the national flag, but here yellow is exchanged with black: "The lifegiving sun is eclipsed with sorrow but the blood of life remains, giving hope for better times." The Flag of Mourning unfolds from all Government buildings during times of national sorrow, decreed by the National Assembly or the President. No ordinary yellow and red national flag may fly during such a mourning period.



Military flags





The Army Battle Flag
Ratio 2:3, swallow-tailed fly. On a dark green field, a stylized Coat of Arms in the canton. The green represents the land that the Army defends.






The Ensign
Ratio 2:3, swallow-tailed fly. On a dark blue field, a stylized Coat of Arms in the canton. The dark blue represents the sea that the Navy defends. The Naval Ensign is also flown by the Coast Guard and the Merchant Marine.






The Airforce Ensign
Ratio 2:3, swallow-tailed fly. On a light blue field, a stylized Coat of Arms in the canton. The light blue represents the skies that the Airforce defends.



City Flags





Ailati
Over the capital of the nation this 1:2 ratio horizontal four stripe red/green/red/green flag flies. In the yellow 2:3 ratio canton is a detail from the windows of the Hall of Parliament, in dark brown.






Asterabad
The flag of Asterabad, the City of Stars, have no less than nine five-pointed stars in contrasting colour on its three by three 2:3 ratio red and yellow checkerboard field.






Cornheim
The agricultural capital of Armatirion is proud of her 2:3 ratio horizontal indented tricolour. The colours symbolize the black soil, the green growing fields, and last but not least the rich golden harvest.






Cape Rimlah
Near the tip of the Rimlah peninsula lies Cape Rimlah. On the deep blue field representing the sea on her 2:3 ratio flag, the black triangle at the hoist is the peninsula itself, standing firm against the waves.






Dorian
A plain 1:2 ratio red flag with a yellow fleur-de-lis shifted toward the hoist flies over Dorian, the cultural capital of Armatirion. Few visitors come to Dorian without attending a concert by the Dorian Symphony & Choir.






Ecostal
A cream and burgundy vertical bicolour; on the cream field near the hoist a burgundy egg, symbol of life, on the burgundy field a cream stylized letter E, representing the city. Ecostal is the base and home of most science projects in progress on Ptica.






Humany
A horizontal black/red/black tricolour with a red triangle at the hoist and two yellow horizontal fusils centred on the red stripe comprises the flag of Humany; home of the Armatirion Supreme Court, the watchful eyes of justice that never sleep.






Lavelle
Ratio 1:2, horizontal light blue/black bicolour. In the centre a circle, yellow on the blue field, white on the black, symbolizing the sun and the moon. The sun is further adorned by five triangular yellow rays. Near the hoist on the black field is the open star cluster the Jewelbox, in ancient times an important constellation which the farmers used to determine the time for harvest. On the flag flying from the Mayor of Lavelle's recidence, these stars are real diamonds.






Marxcity
Ratio 1:2, horizontal 2:3:3:3:2 green/yellow four stripe flag. The middle green stripe extends from the fly but is only 2:3 of the flag's length, its end fashioned as the red stripes in Armatirion's national flag, and thus making a broad yellow field near the hoist upon which a red ten-pointed star is set. Marxcity is most renowned for its eminent university and other educational institutions, all of which fly the city's flag with pride. The rays of wisdom extending from the star of Marxcity reaches far across the nation.






Stormhavn
"The waves had nearly devoured our ship many times that harsh night, but finally what our sore eyes in vain had looked for shone towards us like a white star hovering between the blue sea and the black sky; the lights from the city of Stormhavn, our rescue." This old tale inspired the flag design chosen by Stormhavn, haven to a majority of Armatirion fishing vessels.






Tirion
A vertical red/gold/red tricolour with the city's traditional ornamental letter T in the centre. Tirion is the sister city of Ailati, the two guarding Eulos Strait between them. Of old Tirion was the main port for traffic from Eastern Armatirion, a position she holds to this day.



Territories





Ptica Park (A protected ecosystem initially jointly governed by Guwimith and Armatirion, now Armatirion only)
Ratio 2:3, a vertical bicolour; nature green, light blue 2:1. In the canton is a symbolic representation of the Ptica bird, a blue disc with an off-centered red disc with an off-centred yellow disc. The Ptica bird is a new species discovered by Guwimith scientists on the island which bears its name, a beautiful blue bird with yellow and red tail feathers and wing tips. The flag was hoisted for the first time in a ceremony at the scientific base camp on the 20th of November 297.






Sylvian
Ratio 2:3, a vertical bicolour; magenta, purple 1:1. In the left field is a purple heraldic rampant lion. In the left field are six black ships, representing the six tribes who according to the legends came to Sylvian thousands of years ago.






Moo-Skee-Tow
Ratio 2:3, a horizontal tricolour; amber, red, green. The distinct ethnic art of Moo-Skee-Tow adorns the island's flag by modifying the brightness of the field colour.
